Denver/Charlotte Arts Organizations Bet on Super Bowl 50

Blumenthal Performing Arts and Children's Theatre of Charlotte take on Denver Theatres in Super Bowl Challenge
Jan 29, 2016 /

CHARLOTTE – The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte and Blumenthal Performing Arts are excited to announce a friendly (yet obvious to its outcome) wager with two Denver theatres with much more at stake than just Panthers pride.

THE ORGANIZATIONS:

Children’s Theatre of Charlotte and Blumenthal Performing Arts (Team Carolina) vs. Denver Center for the Performing Arts and Phamaly Theatre Company (Team Denver)

THE TERMS:

The losing city’s theatres must incorporate an element of the opposing team into the set of a production. For example: in the extremely unlikely event of a Panthers loss, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will incorporate a Broncos logo in a pre-show announcement for “Schoolhouse Rock Live!” from April 8 until April 29. Likewise – but, again unlikely – Blumenthal Performing Arts will include a Broncos-related item in the “Charlotte Squawks” set in June.

Staff of losing city’s theatre companies must wear the opposing team’s colors to work on Monday, Feb. 8, and document it on social media.

Losing city’s theatres must buy a stuffed version of the opposing team’s mascot and prominently display it at main box office from Feb. 8 to Feb. 14.
