Event Description
Chapter Three brings the ’80s pop classics to Stage Door Theater! In Chapter Three, Brad Simmons and Paul Oakley Stovall have reworked the radio hits we all know and love into the intimate cabaret show Rock & Soul, weaving in personal stories of love, loss, and triumph. Rock & Soul includes “I’m Still Standing,” “Sweet Dreams,” “This Is It,” and “Everybody Wants To Rule The World,” among other songs made famous by Janet Jackson, Culture Club, and Thompson Twins. Chapter Three will remind you why the songs of Rock & Soul remain classics. You can’t miss this one!
Brad Simmons (Broadway’s Lysistrata Jones, the musical movie Hello Again) has been a mainstay in the NYC nightlife scene. For a decade, he music directed the weekly shows Backstage at 54 Below (54 Below) and The Lineup with Susie Mosher (Birdland).
Paul Oakley Stovall recently played George Washington on the Hamilton tour. Outside of entertainment, Stovall served as a press advance associate for President Obama and subsequently served as a media logistics coordinator and advance staff lead for First Lady Michelle Obama.
