CON FUNK SHUN is an American R&B and funk band whose popularity began in the mid-1970s and ran through the 1980s. They were influenced by funk legend James Brown and Sly and the Family Stone. Con Funk Shun enjoyed decades of successful national and overseas tours, eleven chart-topping albums, and numerous hit singles.
They scored a string of top ten hit songs on the U.S. Billboard chart, including "Ffun" (No. 1), "Shake and Dance with Me" (No. 5), "Chase Me" (No. 4), "Got to Be Enough" (No. 8), "Too Tight" (No. 8), "Baby, I'm Hooked (Right into Your Love)" (No. 5), and "Electric Lady" (No. 4) and other top chart hits "Straight From The Heart," "Im Leaving Baby" and "Love Train." Bruno Mars recently reproduced their classic Billboard smash hit "Love Train."
LENNY WILLIAMS is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the lead vocalist for the soul/funk group Tower of Power. As a solo artist, Williams made several hit recordings including the classic hit "Cause I Love You" and "Choosing You." "Cause I Love You" was sampled by many artists including Kanye West for the song "Overnight Celebrity" by Twista.
ADINA HOWARD is an American singer and songwriter who rose to fame during the mid 1990s with her debut album "Do You Wanna Ride?," featuring the Platinum-certified hit single "Freak like Me" released in 1995 and certified Gold by the RIAA.
CHALIE BOY is an American recording artist, who made his major-label debut in 2009 with the breakout hit single "I Look Good."
MICHEL'LE is an American R&B singer known for her songs from 1989 to the early 1990s. Her highest charting song is the top ten US Hot 100 hit "No More Lies." Michel'le was originally a featured female vocalist of World Class Wreckin' Cru's 1987 single "Turn Off the Lights." Michel'le was signed to Eazy-E's Ruthless Records. In 1989, her self-titled debut album was released, produced entirely by Dr. Dre. The album contained the single "No More Lies" which peaked at No. 7 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the hit R&B singles "Nicety" and "Something in My Heart." Michel'le was certified Gold on April 25, 1990.

The $10 rate is applicable when parked in the garage after 5pm on weekdays, Monday-Friday. If parked in the garage before 5pm, the $10 rate is void. There is no time restriction for the weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

- Pull the garage entry ticket when you arrive at the designated garage. You will need this to exit!
- Purchase a $10 Blumenthal exit pass at the theater or click here to purchase in advance online. If you would rather purchase by phone, please call 704.335.1010.*
When You Exit
- Insert your garage entry ticket into the yellow slot. Amount due will display on the screen.
- Insert your Blumenthal exit pass in the same yellow slot, with the arrow pointing at slot.
- Gate arm will rise and the screen will display “drive safely.”

Belk Theater features state-of-the-art equipment, production and support capabilities and can host any event, from grand opera to rock to corporate annual meetings and lectures.
The theater features a contemporary European horseshoe arrangement for an intimate atmosphere and world-class acoustics. The most distant seat is less than 135 feet from the stage.
A hallmark of the theater’s design is some 2,400 “points of light” in the audience chamber, part of a dazzling fiber optic network with multi-color capabilities.
Renowned architect Cesar Pelli designed the Performing Arts Center, which opened in 1992, as well as the adjacent Bank of America Corporate Center and Founders Hall. The Center’s name honors the contributions of the people of the state of North Carolina as well as the generosity of the Blumenthal Foundation, the largest private donor to the capital campaign.
