Julianne & Derek Hough: Move - Beyond - Live On Tour

May 10 - Ovens Auditorium

I have been in awe of the Hough siblings for about a decade now. It started when my fangirl level for Dancing with the Stars was at a fever pitch during the show's first few seasons. Every celebrity who had the good fortune to be paired up with Julianne or Derek knew they had a real shot at the coveted Mirrorball Trophy and the two quickly became bigger household names than some of the celebs they were jiving, waltzing and paso doble-ing with.

Well, Julianne is now a judge on the ballroom competition show and Derek is taking a little break to pursue other opportunities... namely, their Move - Beyond - Live On Tour.

The dynamic duo is bringing said tour to the Queen City NEXT WEEK at Ovens Auditorium ... but it's way more than Strictly Ballroom (old movie joke).

The Hough's are promising fans their biggest and best show yet, with brand-new stage production inspired by the elements – earth, wind, fire, and water – which they have infused into fresh, high impact choreography that only they can deliver. The show will bring fans on a journey of dance and music, taking inspiration directly from the four elements as an exploration of the human relationship with nature. The pair will be joined by the Move Company Dancers for group performances in styles ranging from ballroom and tap to salsa and hip-hop and everything in between.

Check out a portion of Broadway World's review of their sold-out performance last month in Detroit:

"If given the chance to see Julianne Hough perform live, never turn it down. If given the chance to see Derek Hough perform live, never turn it down. When the Hough siblings come to your town to dance, go!"
