By Jenna HarrisOct 11, 2016
It's Tuesday, so we are featuring a "Tune" from one of our upcoming musical guests coming to Blumenthal Performing Arts. We're calling this section "TUNEsday." Get it?
Anyways, let's dive right into this "TUNESday," Eric Johnson's song "Cliffs of Dover." Johnson is a five-time Grammy award nominee and a 1991 Grammy Award winner for Best Rock Instrumental Performance off of his 1990 album, "Ah Via Musicom" for the song "Cliffs of Dover."
Did you know? Eric Johnson's songs have been featured in three video games! "Cliffs of Dover" was featured in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (2007) and Rocksmith (2013). His other song "Camel's Night Out" was featured in Guitar Hero World Tour (2009).
"Cliffs of Dover" is about the White Cliffs of Dover, which run along southeast coast of England.

Johnson features the electric guitar in the song. Best known for his electric guitar skills (watch the video below to see what I mean), he is also a songwriter and vocalist, and plays the acoustic guitar, lap steel, resonator, bass guitar and piano!
