Event Description
For the last decade, the Blumey Awards have recognized, rewarded, and encouraged talent and achievement in musical theater among high school students in the greater Charlotte area.
Since 2012, we’ve cheered as our nominees and winners have landed on Broadway and in Hollywood, topped the music charts, received nominations for Tonys, Grammys, and VMAs, graced the covers of magazines, launched successful careers behind the scenes, and so much more.
Now, we celebrate!
The 10th Anniversary Blumey Awards Celebration will welcome past and present Blumey Award participants to the Belk Theater stage for a one-night-only benefit show filled with special guests, cameos, local talent, and fun surprises, with proceeds going toward the brand-new Blumey Inspire Fund.
It’s the ultimate party for a good cause, ten years in the making.
About the Blumey Inspire Fund
The Blumey Inspire Fund grants industry resources and opportunities to empower high school students across the Carolinas in pursuit of their big dreams on and off stage, and to elevate or launch new and existing theater programs. Grant awards of varying amounts will be made available to provide professional training, mentorship, and materials to minimize socioeconomic and access disparities, elevating high school theater programs and uplifting students to excel in their artistic pursuits.
Event Sponsorships and Pre-Show Dinner
Event sponsorship options start at $5,000 and include access to a seated, pre-show dinner at Booth Playhouse, logo inclusion, verbal recognition, and more based on the sponsorship level. The dinner will include passed hors d'oeuvres, a plated meal, and live entertainment. Learn more here.

Belk Theater features state-of-the-art equipment, production and support capabilities and can host any event, from grand opera to rock to corporate annual meetings and lectures.
The theater features a contemporary European horseshoe arrangement for an intimate atmosphere and world-class acoustics. The most distant seat is less than 135 feet from the stage.
A hallmark of the theater’s design is some 2,400 “points of light” in the audience chamber, part of a dazzling fiber optic network with multi-color capabilities.
Renowned architect Cesar Pelli designed the Performing Arts Center, which opened in 1992, as well as the adjacent Bank of America Corporate Center and Founders Hall. The Center’s name honors the contributions of the people of the state of North Carolina as well as the generosity of the Blumenthal Foundation, the largest private donor to the capital campaign.
