Event Description
Join us for another unforgettable evening of live storytelling, this time at The Stage Door Theater in Charlotte, NC. At TILT: Stories on the Edge, honesty takes the stage, and the edges of our lives come sharply into focus. These are stories of experiences that shape us — and the people who help us through them...
TILT is an invitation to anyone who has stood at the edge of a crucial moment — disorienting, life-altering, or utterly resilient. These stories reveal both the challenges and the possibilities that emerge when life pushes us beyond the familiar.
Presented by The Alex Manfull Fund, this Charlotte Metro event raises awareness and funds for PANS/PANDAS research and clinician education, while creating a powerful space for truth, healing, and connection.
Come to listen, or come to share. Come to feel less alone, to witness the power of community, and to see what hope and transformation can look like when life tilts in unexpected ways. Each story is a reminder that being on the edge is not only about challenges—it can also reveal new perspectives, unexpected strengths, and possibilities just beyond uncertainty.

Interested in sharing your story?
Audience storytellers are selected live at the event through a random drawing from submitted story pitches. Audience members may submit a three-sentence pitch by email in advance to sharistrulson@gmail.com or in person that night, describing a true, first-person story they are ready to tell live. Pitches should focus on one moment — what happened, why it mattered, and how it shifted something in you. If selected, storytellers share a prepared but unscripted story, told live in five-minutes or less, connected to the theme of the night.
Find the edge. Tell the truth. Share the change.
● Tell a true, unscripted story- one only you can tell
● Must follow the theme of being “on the edge”
● Avoid lectures, advice, or judgment
● Respect others’ privacy while sharing your truth
● Stay within the 5-7 minute story limit
● Leave us with what changed or what you discovered
● Let courage meet compassion
A Note on Privacy
Out of care for everyone involved, storytellers are asked to avoid using real names or identifying details of people, institutions, or organizations. This helps protect privacy and keeps the focus on the story itself.
First time sharing a story live?
You don't need to be a performer or writer. TILT: Stories on the Edge is about real people sharing real stories. If the story matters to you and you're willing to speak honestly, you belong here.
