Group Sales Manager

Position Summary

The Group Sales Manager drives new group business and maximizes revenue for all Blumenthal Arts venues and performances. This position focuses on proactive outbound sales, cultivating new relationships, re-engaging lapsed buyers, and building partnerships that grow attendance and strengthen community ties for our Broadway, Blume Studios, and Attractions programming. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated salesperson with a track record of exceeding revenue goals and the initiative to create new opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales & Outreach

  • Proactively research, identify, and engage prospective group buyers through calls, emails, and community networking.
  • Build lasting relationships with new and returning group clients to increase retention and long-term revenue.
  • Create and execute sales strategies and outbound campaigns to meet or exceed established group sales goals.
  • Represent Blumenthal at industry events, networking functions, and community gatherings to build awareness and develop new leads.

Marketing & Promotions

  • Coordinate promotional opportunities such as talkbacks, behind-the-scenes tours, and educational experiences for group buyers.
  • Plan and execute creative outreach opportunities, special events, and other marketing activities to promote group sales.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of group sales content on Blumenthal’s website and other digital platforms.
  • Ensure all messaging aligns with Blumenthal and individual show branding guidelines.

Administration & Coordination

  • Manage timelines and ensure compliance with payment, ticketing, and fulfillment deadlines for all group orders.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators including sales conversion rates, call volume, retention, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Track and maintain group sales activity and communications using CRM systems and internal reporting tools.
  • Respond to group sales inquiries with accurate, timely, and customer-focused communication.
  • Provide clear internal updates to relevant departments to ensure alignment on group sales activity and special arrangements.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Requires bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field supplemented by at least 5 years of experience in ticketing or sales; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated success in outbound or B2B sales within live entertainment, hospitality, tourism, or similar industries.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, manage pipelines, and close sales.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational habits with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Results-driven mindset with a passion for live performance and patron engagement.
