Immersive Associate - Temporary, Part-Time

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Blume Studios Operations and the day-to-day leadership of the Immersive Lead, the Immersive Associate serves as a front-of-house team member responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences at Blume Studios' immersive exhibitions and experiences. Immersive Associates are the primary point of contact for guests, supporting ticketing, admissions, merchandise and concession sales, wayfinding, guest communications, and overall visitor satisfaction. This role helps maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional environment while ensuring all front-of-house spaces are clean, operational, and guest-ready. The Immersive Associate supports the successful daily operation of the venue. This is a temporary, part-time position tied to the duration of the exhibition and may require evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests to Blume Studios and provide outstanding customer service throughout their visit.
  • Scan tickets, assist with guest check-in, and facilitate efficient entry into experiences and events.
  • Sell tickets, merchandise, concessions, and other offerings using ticketing and point-of-sale systems.
  • Accurately process credit card and digital payment transactions.
  • Answer guest questions regarding exhibitions, schedules, amenities, policies, and venue operations.
  • Provide wayfinding assistance and support guests navigating the venue.
  • Deliver orientation information, venue announcements, and experience-specific instructions to individuals and groups.
  • Assist guests with accessibility needs and provide accommodations in accordance with venue policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout all front-of-house spaces, including lobbies, queues, retail areas, concessions, and guest seating areas.
  • Restock merchandise, concessions, and materials as needed.
  • Monitor guest flow and queue areas to promote a positive and efficient experience.
  • Support inventory counts, merchandise organization, and retail displays.
  • Assist with routine guest concerns and service recovery within established guidelines, while identifying and escalating significant guest concerns, facility issues, or operational challenges to the Immersive Lead as appropriate.
  • Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Assist during emergency situations and evacuations as directed by leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with other front-of-house and operations team members to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education and Experience 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required, supported by at least 1 year of experience in guest services, hospitality, entertainment, retail, customer service, or related field, or a combination of knowledge, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems, or point-of-sale systems, is preferred.
  • Experience supporting live events, immersive experiences, museums, attractions, or similar guest-facing environments is a plus.

  • Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with guests of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Strong transaction accuracy skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Comfortable working in in loud and dimly lit environments. 
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Tasks may involve moderate physical activity, including stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to respond quickly to guest, operational, and emergency situations.
