Immersive Specialist - Temporary, Part-Time

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Blume Studios Operations and the day-to-day leadership of the Immersive Lead, the Immersive Specialist is responsible for operating and supporting immersive exhibitions to ensure a safe, engaging, and seamless guest experience. As a primary exhibit operator, the Immersive Specialist guides guests through the experience, answers questions, monitors exhibit spaces, and provides basic technical troubleshooting and operational support as needed. This role serves as a key point of contact for guests inside the exhibition and helps maintain the functionality, safety, and presentation of immersive technologies, show environments, and exhibit spaces. The Immersive Specialist must possess a strong understanding of exhibition operations and be able to quickly identify, resolve, or escalate technical and guest-related issues. This is a temporary, part-time position tied to the duration of the exhibition and may require evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate immersive exhibitions and experiences in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
- Welcome and assist guests as they move through the exhibition experience.
- Provide clear instructions, orientation, and guidance to guests before and during the experience.
- Answer guest questions regarding exhibit content, procedures, accessibility, and operational policies.
- Monitor exhibit spaces to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and engaging guest experience.
- Assist guests who require additional support or accommodations during the experience.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of immersive technologies, software, hardware, and exhibit equipment.
- Quickly identify technical, operational, or guest-related issues and resolve or escalate them as appropriate.
- Assist with exhibit resets, equipment staging, and operational readiness between guest sessions.
- Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and operational issues to the Immersive Lead.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout exhibition spaces.
- Follow all established operating, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Assist with evacuations and emergency response efforts as directed by leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required, supported by at least 1 year of experience in guest services, hospitality, entertainment, retail, customer service, or related field, or a combination of knowledge, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience supporting technology-driven guest experiences is preferred.
- Experience in immersive, interactive, or experiential environments is a plus.
