BLUMENTHAL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER ANNOUNCES
2009 CORPORATE CAMPAIGN CHAIR

Charlotte, NC — Blumenthal Performing Arts Center Board of Trustees Chair Walter Fisher of K&L Gates has announced the Center’s 2009 Corporate Campaign Chair. James Downs, Vice President of Retail for Crosland, LLC, has agreed to serve as the 2009 Corporate Campaign Chair.

“This campaign has grown significantly each of the past five years due to the high quality of volunteer leadership. We are pleased to have James at the helm of our upcoming campaign,” said Board Chair Walter Fisher.

James Downs has been an active member of the Corporate Campaign since 2006 and has served as a team captain for the past two years. “This is a unique opportunity to serve our community and work with other corporate executives who share a belief in the power and value of the arts. Together we can make a difference by supporting the arts and education programs that have such a positive impact on the lives of families in this region,” Downs says.

The Center is currently recruiting executives to serve as volunteers on the upcoming campaign and will announce the 2009 campaign goal at the Campaign Kick-Off Event in September. Nearly 60 campaign volunteers last year reached over 225 Corporate Partners, raising $475,000 from the Charlotte corporate community.
