Attention Arts Fans: Introducing "The BUZZ This Season" - Click Here for Details

Sep 27, 2012 /

Attention arts fans! This is YOUR chance to get together and talk about YOUR upcoming performing arts season. We are bringing together some diverse, sharp minds to share personally, and then together in discussion, what they see on the horizon for the next season in arts, entertainment, music and film.

What are their preliminary thoughts about what’s being served up to Charlotte? What trends do they see emerging, both good and bad, in what is being offered or not offered?

Come join the discussion for FREE Wednesday, Oct. 24, starting at 7 p.m. at McGlohon Theater. Each of the four panelists will discuss a broad topic in which they are experts. Once all four have spoken, we will be taking questions from the audience to keep the conversation going. This is YOUR chance to be heard. What shows do you want to see? How do you feel about the shows being presented around town? No question is off limits.

Tony Brown, former theater critic for The Charlotte Observer, will host “The BUZZ This Season.” Participants include:

• Courtney Devores (pop music, pop culture in general)

• Michael Solender (theater, blog culture)

• Perry Tannenbaum (dance, classical music, theater)

• Lawrence Toppman (film, theater, opera)

• Mike Collins (big picture, theater)

This free event is for anyone who likes talking about entertainment with their friends. We hope to see you there.
