CarolinaTix Waives Ticket Service Fees March 13-16
Charlotte, NC – Tickets for much of Charlotte's best performing arts entertainment will be service fee FREE March 13-16. The CarolinaTix ticketing system operated by the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center will waive service fees on all events on sale on the system during this four-day period. The fee free weekend begins at 10 AM on Friday (March 13) and ends at midnight on Monday (March 16).
This includes tickets for all the Center's own engagements, including the national tours of Broadway hits THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL and THE COLOR PURPLE, plus more great special attractions. In addition, many of Charlotte's major arts companies like NC Dance Theater, the Charlotte Symphony and Opera Carolina have tickets on sale on the system, along with shows happening at many other local theaters and concert halls like Theatre Charlotte and the Visulite.
"In this challenging economic period, we are looking for ways to keep a visit to the Center and other performing halls as affordable as possible. The Center is a place where the entire community comes together to enjoy special events, and we want to make sure we make it possible for everyone to continue to attend even when the economy puts pressure on the family budget," said Center President Tom Gabbard. "We know many of our customers are working to stretch their dollars right now and we want to assist them by having this special four-day sale where all service fees are waived. We hope this sale will enable everyone to enjoy more shows and perhaps bring extra folks with them."
The service fee FREE period will apply to all purchases made on line at CarolinaTix.org or BlumenthalCenter.org and to sales by phone at 704.372.1000. In person sales at the Center Box Office also will be fee free even for events taking place at other locations.
For more information, call the Center box office at 704-372-1000.
