Broadway’s best new shows will be on stage in Charlotte next season in the 2013-14 Duke Energy Broadway Lights Series. From the creators of “South Park” and winner of nine Tony Awards, The Book of Mormon will play a limited two-week engagement Dec. 26, 2013-Jan. 5, 2014. The New York Times calls it “the best musical of the century” and Entertainment Weekly says it’s “the funniest musical of all time.”

Also included in a 2013-14 Broadway Lights Series season package are Matthew Bourne’s spectacular and lavish new production of Sleeping Beauty; the stunning new production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Tony Award-winning musical Evita; Ghost the Musical, the dazzling new musical based on the Oscar-winning film; We Will Rock You, the rock theatrical based on the music of Queen; winner of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, the stunning and stirring new adaption of The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess; and the enchanting ONCE, winner of eight 2012 Tony Awards including Best Musical. Upgrading to an eight-ticket package adds the innovative and imaginative new musical play, Peter and the Starcatcher, based on the best selling novel about a young Peter Pan before he arrived in Neverland.
