The Leon Levine Foundation Pledges $100,000 to Charlotte International Arts Festival
(June 29, 2023) Charlotte, NC – Blumenthal Performing Arts announced that The Leon Levine Foundation (TLLF) has pledged $100,000 toward the Charlotte International Arts Festival (CIAF). A past sponsor of Blumenthal, this newest pledge marks the Foundation’s largest gift of support to the nonprofit performing arts center to date. CIAF will return for the second year September 15–October 1, 2023.
"From the very beginning, our Founder knew that Charlotte would be something special. As the city he called home continues to grow, TLLF is dedicated to its development as a world-class cultural destination. Blumenthal Performing Arts has contributed to this work for decades, and we're proud to support them as they bring the arts to unreached and underserved audiences through the Charlotte International Arts Festival" Tom Lawrence, President CEO
“We are grateful for the generous support from The Leon Levine Foundation. This gift will help elevate the Charlotte International Arts Festival in fulfilling our mission to spotlight Charlotte’s local and international cultural communities shoulder to shoulder with visiting artists for a wonderful two-week celebration of art, community, and exploration. We thank the Foundation for their ongoing support to uplift the arts in our community,” said Blumenthal Performing Arts President and CEO, Tom Gabbard.
The Charlotte International Arts Festival, a Blumenthal Performing Arts Original, uniquely brings together Charlotte's local and international communities with global artists in a cultural celebration filled with live performances, art installations, food from around the world, and more.
