These are challenging times for our community. We are working to minimize the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on our organization and the artists we support. Although this crisis has brought many changes into our lives, we continue to seek a path toward the future.
A Blumenthal Performing Arts’ membership is a charitable contribution that supports a community asset and provides educational and arts access programs. Many of these programs are free for children and families across the region because of your generous support.
A large portion of operating costs are covered through earned revenues like tickets sales, but it is the support of our donors that allow key mission programs like ticket scholarships, The Blumey Awards, community festivals and many others, to exist. Ticketing revenues have been impacted from cancelled shows, which means we are more dependent on contributed income for our operating support.
If you are already a supporter, THANK YOU! We are grateful! If you'd like to help keep these programs alive in the community, please consider these options:
- Annual charitable gifts of $100-$999 help sustain all key programs. For example, a $500 gift offsets the cost of a 'musical-in-a-box' for schools participating in Junior Theater Celebration Charlotte.
- Annual charitable gifts of $1,000+ help sustain all key programs. For example, a $1,500 gift funds a night of Open Mic, a family-friendly free community program.
