Your Chance To Shine On The Big Stage

Charlotte, NC – Blumenthal Performing Arts will present its first Open Mic Night on Sunday, Feb. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Booth Playhouse as part of a new initiative to produce interactive performing arts activities for the Charlotte area community.

This event is FREE to the public, including performers and spectators.

Instrumentalists, singers, dancers, storytellers, poets, jugglers, magicians and others are all welcome. Beginning performers as well as veterans are encouraged to participate. There are no restrictions besides time and content. Individual and group performances must be no longer than 5 minutes and content must be suitable for all ages.

No auditions will be held. To register for a spot in the lineup of performers, email Michelle Youngs, myoungs@ncbpac.org, or arrive at Booth Playhouse at 5:40 p.m. on Feb. 10 to register. Please note performance spots are first come first served with the show limited to two hours.

Blumenthal will provide five professional microphones for performers as well as a CD player, iPod connection, piano and five counter-height stools. Performers must provide all other instruments, props and equipment. Each performer and group must set up the stage for their act within 90 seconds and clear the stage of their properties within the same amount of time.
