Event Description
Dancing Through Latin America takes the audience on a spectacular trip using imagery, storytelling, and a vibrant & authentic wardrobe, all combined with music and dance to transport viewers to different countries with each number. For the first time ever, to celebrate our 25th year anniversary, we are presenting "Dancing Through Latin America" WITH A TWIST! This year we are including modern music and moves that are intertwined with history and folklore because they play such an important role in who we are as individuals, a society, and a country.
It is beautiful to see our Charlotte youth embracing parts of Latin heritage, while also embracing who they are today, as individuals from all different countries themselves. Come travel with us to over 10 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain, and the United States, with surprises around every corner! Our performers are local youth from 6 to 20+ years old, who will stun the audience with their professionalism, passion, and stage presence. These dancers truly embrace our mission of “dancing towards multicultural unity." We promise an unforgettable, upbeat, and fun-filled event that will have the whole family dancing!
Our show is split into two 40 minute acts with a 15 minute intermission.
Venue Information
Booth Playhouse
Booth Playhouse at Blumenthal Arts Center is located in Founders Hall and hosts a variety of dance, choral and other musical ensembles, as well as meetings, seminars and workshops.
Directions & Parking
A special preferred parking rate of only $10* is available for our patrons in the Bank of America Center Parking Garage.
- Entrances: 150 N. College St. and 290 E. 5th St.
The $10 rate is applicable when parked in the garage after 5pm on weekdays, Monday-Friday. If parked in the garage before 5pm, the $10 rate is void. There is no time restriction for the weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
GETTING AND USING YOUR PARKING PASS WHEN YOU ARRIVE
- Pull the garage entry ticket when you arrive at the designated garage. You will need this to exit!
- Purchase a $10 Blumenthal exit pass at the theater or click here to purchase in advance online. If you would rather purchase by phone, please call 704.372.1000.*
WHEN YOU EXIT
- Insert or scan your garage entry ticket. Amount due will display on the screen.
- Scan your Blumenthal exit pass sticker.
- Gate arm will rise and the screen will display “drive safely.”
*Pre-paid parking is not available day of show.
PURCHASE YOUR PARKING EXIT PASS IN ADVANCE
Bring your pre-purchased parking pass with you to the show and receive an exit pass sticker at parking stations in the lobby before or after the show.
